Well, so no, I don't really hate country. However, I *heartily* resent it when the group in question was supposed to be one of the ones I enjoy listening to highly and would praise and laud to the skies, then they turn around and *become* country. I feel betrayed. After Brendan and I got back from the concert, I played him 100 Flower Power Maximum and asked him if he could tell me how in the bloody name of ALL THAT IS SACRED COULD THAT BECOME COUNTRY!? I'm very upset. Anyhow. I have a theory, based on having heard that Camper Van Beethoven is back together. It must be that the guy who left to return to that band was THE ONLY PERSON IN THE ENSEMBLE WITH A DAMNED BRAIN!! Not happy about that. At all.

So, in related news, I am no longer planning on buying another Cracker album, but am beginning to consider buying a Camer Van Beethoven album. What does this tell us? Clearly it tells us that McDuff is always right, and we just should have listened to him in the first place. *sigh*

Jenna is asleep on my bed. Ha, if she wants to stay there then she's welcome to. She'll find out come morning that baking to death is a unique and *special* experience to be treasured. Eh, I like it well enough until seven. Gnk.

I tried to get inspired to finish up work on a piece I started this past semester.... I can't convert from a midi file and work in Finale on this computer. Stupid PCs. I don't think I have the patience to sit here and transcribe my own work, though. I should. I could make this piece decent if I tried.

Meanwhile, after hearing "Trucker" tonight, I'm confident that if I try hard enough, I can write decent lyrics. Anything's got to be better than, "it's hot out, so let's all take our clothes off." Grr, stupid country. Not even good country. Abysmal country.
