So we decided to take a small trek/adventure through suburban Virginia today. Jenna needed rehydration salts for her trip to China. We started out by going to Seven Corners by bus and looking about a bit, then grabbing lunch. Thai. I *heart* DC for having so much Thai available. I had drunken noodle! Whooo. And then we went about with all the job applicationness and only got two in there, but oh well. So we then set off for the REI where Jenna planned on getting the salt stuff. We didn't quite know where we were going, but we got within a block by bus, then walked. Cool. This part all went fine. Then we decided to try and get home. Ha. We walked to Bailey's Corner, where I picked up another TGI Friday's application and got an interview for Monday. Cool. Then we walked some more. To Seven Corners again, then to the East Falls Church metro. I think we walked for somewhere between an hour and two. It was interesting, though, and I proved that I can navigate decently on foot, since I remembered where to go from Seven Corners after my whole late night idiocy a couple weeks back. I am pleased to report that i have a small job to do tomorrow. Inventory for Dress Barn. Only a four hour one time gig, but damn, that's twenty bucks or something like it which I desperately need. *sigh* I also got a call back from Fresh Fields this morning, and I have an interview there on Tuesday. I'd be so thrilled to work there, really, so I'm hoping it works out. It's walkable, it's something I know I'd be able to pick up quickly, I'd know where I stood with it... *sigh* I think it'd be the simplest, and I'm crossing my fingers. Please. All I want is six fifty an hour or whatnot. It isn't that much to ask.
