Today I came as close to actual college experience as I've ever been. Very exciting, that. Suz's recital went well, despite the fact that I did nothing overly skilled.... I forgot how to use the lights in the past month and had to figure out where the bloody spot went after I turned on everything else... then I had to open up the harpsichord lid after we set everything up... *sigh* Oh well, not like anyone cared much.

So Suz played well, and the reception was great. We had the great intermingling of the Albanians and Fredonians, and boy was it special. *grin* Saw Chris again, met his girlfriend, whose name I cannot remember, met Emily, Amanda, Heather, Dave and Dan... why do all the cute geek guys have girlfriends? Oh wait, because they're cute geek guys. Eh. So Suz's friends were of course really cool, not surprising. We talked for a bit at the reception, then headed back to Suz's house and talked more. Unfortunately the place is just not built to hold fifteen people or more, so it was quite overwhelming and I really wanted to hide in a corner. Spent a large amount of the time in the entryway talking to Dave (who looks somewhat like Dave Wininger, oddly) about various things like accents and school-related phenomena. Was okay.

After a bit people trickled out. Chris, Dave, Dan, Amanda... all left, as did Bill, the ever interesting quasi-interest or maybe not of Suz, depending on how ambiguous he's being that week. Heather, Emily, Senta (Suz's sister who is awesome) Suz and I were hanging out for a long while afterward, though. Talking, playing mafia, etc. Then we broke out some drinks and played an interesting drinking game.. then invited over Andrew, very nice guy. *grin* I told him on the phone he had to come over because then we'd all have to hit on him instead of each other to fulfill a tenet of the game we had instituted. I'm surprised he did actually join us, since we were all drinking and he's not much on that.... well, not that I am, either.

Meanwhile, I don't seem to have much in the way of effect when I drink. I was a bit less steady in general than usual, but still quite clear thinking, and more than capable of dealing with things. *shrug* Anyhow, I've never actually had fun with people while drinking before, although I have to admit that people were rather louder than I'd really care for. We all were talking at once too often. Game was fun, though, and Emily and Heather are cool. I wonder how my other friends would integrate... I think it would work well, though. I've had maybe four days in a row now of appreciation of humanity. If I keep this up I'll be slightly normal eventually, damnit.

So today we had a major thunderstorm and lost power for a minute or so.... I wish I hadn't had somewhere to be, or I would have stayed out in the rain longer. I love a good soak. Although I had just showered, too, so it's no fun, since there's little enough effect. ...Still haven't reset my alarm clock.

I should really get to bed soon so I can work on my French assignment (which I can't seem to recall exactly what it is just now) before class.
