It's cold in here. So Thanksgiving. Wheeefun. We went to this restaurant/pub thingo in Queens with aunt, uncle, mother and grandmother. My grandmother wants to be unhappy too often. It makes things hard for everyone. *sigh*

So. Vegetarian Thanksgiving was mashed sweet potatoes, mashed butternut squash, string beans, baked potato, salad and bread. *Sigh* Would have rather stayed at home. Best part of the meal? Its end. My mother went off on a date and I get to stay home online. Yay. I'm so not social. But I am. It's screwy.

I had a good trip back, but blargh was it long towards the end. My father and I started out with lots of discussion, but then he put on a tape. Then there was a lot of me singing along with the 1812 overture and Mahler's Titan. Then there was a lot of me trying to sleep and failing. I got back at about quarter of one, then went online. How predictable. Well. If I had my way, break would involve nothing but reading and being online.

I did get to read yesterday. That was very nice. I spent rather a while thinking my way through Cloud-Hidden, Whereabouts Unknown, which had been recommended to me ages ago, and was *really* worthwhile. I kept staring off into space and grinning. Well, I also had fun music on, so that's part of it. Spent about three hours going through that book, and I want to go back and read it another six times already. *Sigh* I want books!

Two more days, then twelve hour bus ride. Shoot me.
