today is random and inane day. "as opposed to?" you say? i dunno.

there's nothing like buying a pound of butter at way too expensive a price only to notice that you merely didn't see the *two pounds* of butter you already had in the fridge. no household with two people in it needs three pounds of butter.

today i did the laundry. washing is not an issue for me. drying, however, appears to be beyond my means. i left one load in the dryer with the dryer off for about four hours. i did run that load a few hours ago, but i haven't taken it out yet. the other load i put out on the washline about nine hours ago and it's still there. *sigh* i'm a dipstick.

wow, i finally checked the laundry and none of it is dry anyhow. bleh! *sigh*

so tomorrow is brunchmeet, and now unfortunately christine (rabi'a) isn't going to make it. which leaves five brunchers? plus bruncherparents? well, i fully well intend to enjoy myself nonetheless. plus when one considers that i talk enough for five people, we may end up seeming to have a larger turnout than physical evidence would suggest. yes, i might be good for something!

so now it's almost three and i haven't started making the stupid cookies yet. i really need to place more value on sleep. it's a blessèd thing. although i can't even pack yet since none of my clothes are dry (grrr!) so it's a moot point; i couldn't go to bed anyhow.

only about a week until school, and thank heavens, because this dial-up connection is absolute crap, and i'm getting frustrated. i switched computers because mine was so iffy, and now i'm stuck with my mother's insane screen resolution: 640x480. computing for the blind. *sigh* this makes my eyes hurt even more than my insane resolution: 1024x 768, i believe. computing for those who stubbornly refuse to admit that their vision isn't beyond perfection. might i also add that moving from one to the other really makes your head spin?

note: there is only one letter difference between a line break and a bold tag, but it makes a big friggin' difference.

anyhow, i think i have to get started on the cookies, or else i'll never sleep. not that i'm tired. blergh. i'll try, though. g'night.
