Okay, I've complained about it before, so I'll just be brief. Our concert is in a week and we're going to suck. End of story. Moving on.

I'm happy. I made significant progress in cleaning my room finally, and I moved furniture. Now the room is more open than before. Everyone seems to like it better. Somehow it makes me feel like it's a whole different semester, too, which is an odd thing. Now I just need a new lightbulb for my desk lamp and I need to wash these four bowls sitting on the ledge crying out, "clean me! Please? I'll be good!" My sense of amusement (this is not actually humour, here) is *really* skewed. Hm.

I've been tending to act as though if I leave things be for long enough they'll take care of themselves. Dementedly enough it's beginning to look like I'm right. I have everything figured out with my job (night desk) and with my major now, and this all through the power of lack of initiative. Hum. This is a bad thing. I should not be encouraged this way.

I need to ask Debi what songs are on this CD of hers... I ripped some of them a few years back, and now I'm finding my favourites aren't on here, and I'd probably even buy the CD if I knew what the heck it was.... I should really email people more often, and definitely not just Debi. I'm such a bad correspondent with anyone who doesn't have some sort of messaging program.

I need to catch up on things. Including my laundry. I guess I can get that done tomorrow after class. Then I'll be so happy. I hate doing laundry, but I love clean clothing. I also hate cleaning, but I love having a clean room. Well I guess that's why I do eventually get around to these things.

So I have my class schedule. It's always almost perfectly symmetrical. Although I have two extra classes on Monday that don't recur. Darned recital seminar and festival chorus ruining everything.

So what I'm actually taking:
  1. Medieval Literature (with a good prof-Dr. Steinberg. Yay.) 3 credits.
  2. Intermediate French II (I'm betting this is going to be rather below my level, but I could do with a refresher regardless.) 3 credits.
  3. Western Civilization II (Oooh, ahhh. II.) 3 credits.
  4. The Meaning of Life (Another good prof--Dr. Beliotti. I think I'll really like this.) 3 credits.
  5. Internet and Web Programming (This is going to be majorly lame, I just know it. I think I'll learn things, but I also expect a good bit of it will be boring review. I'm arrogant. Shoot me.) 3 credits.
  6. Flute Lessons (Wheefun.) 2 credits.
  7. Recital Seminar. (Damned stupid class with the conflict... Raar!)
  8. Festival Chorus (No one seems to like the music the new director is picking out. I hope this turns out okay.) 0 credits
  9. Flute Ensemble (I don't seem to ever actually want to take this, but I just don't want not to. No, I can't explain that.) 0 credits
  10. Woodwind Chamber Ensemble (It's okay, but I'd rather not be in a flute trio. Gah. Want different instrumentation.) 0 credits.
  11. Whatever major ensemble I end up in. (Haven't registered yet because there's no point in doing that. I could guess, but who knows? Things are up in the air. I dropped so far this semester only to find that it was really a blessing in disguise due to what repetoire was picked. Next semester we're losing two people out of three in orchestra right now, and if I practice well enough I have a decent shot at getting back in, I think, but who can be sure?) 0 credits no matter what it is.
This totals up to seventeen credits and eleven classes. That's still sick, ensembles or no.

Meanwhile, I'm actually considering dropping Woodwind Chamber Ensemble for the stupidest reason ever.... I *really* want to be in Dr. Davis' pop music course, but I can't due to stupid fracking recital seminar! *heavy sigh* So I'm contemplating not taking Chamber Ensemble so that I can sit in on the class for half the time regardless. Isn't that lame? *sigh* But Dr. Davis' teaching is so worthwhile! Argh. I'm so geeky.

Hmm. Should have been asleep rather a while ago. G'night.
